Consistency is key!

Hello Families,

We know that Structure and Routine Promote Positive Mental Health. Here are some Tips for Setting up a Daily Routine for Kids and Teens during the COVID-19 School Closures:

Try to keep bedtime and morning wake up times the same as a regular school day.

Refer to school websites to find out bell times and recess times (Preschool Schedule is below). Use these as a framework to plan your day.

For elementary aged children, co-create ideas for special projects in each subject (writing, art, math… don’t forget gym class!).

For teens, access any assignments and on-line learning modules from their school web platforms. Help teens to set up virtual study groups with classmates.

Encourage teens and older kids to ‘teach’ a virtual school lesson to younger kiddos (recycled science fair projects anyone?).

Look to the array of free online resources for virtual field trips, read-alongs, lesson plans, etc. Get creative.

Consistency is key!

2020 Covid-19 Time Capsule

Hey Friends,

We are currently making history, as these are not “normal” times! Here is a fun activity for you to document this time in your lives. It will be a keepsake that you can look back on in years to come. This free download was created by Natalie Long of “Long Creations”. She shared it for the world to use and create a memory in time. Hope you enjoy.

Miss Meagan Checking In…

Hi Friends, It’s Miss Meagan here…. Can you believe we are on week 6 of self isolation!?!?!?! I want to THANK everyone who took the time to send me a Birthday Video, it truly warmed my heart… and I cried – happy tears! Miss Jess and I were so delighted to see so many familiar faces last week during the Car Parade. The signs and cheering sure made our day!

I am going to be posting here from time to time, just to check in and share with you some tools or fun activities to do with your family while you are at home. This is not mandatory, but thought it would be a fun way to stay connected.

Hope you are all staying safe and we hope to see you very soon!

Miss Meagan.

Welcome to our C&S Child Care Blog!

Welcome Friends and Families of C&S Child Care,

As you are aware, C&S Child Care is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 Crisis.  At this time, while we want everyone to stay home and stay safe, we MISS YOU SO SO MUCH!!!! So we have decided to start a blog! Please bare with us as this is all new to us, but we hope that this will allow us to stay connected with our amazing families during this difficult time.

Our goal is to provide families with some resources that you can use with your children while at home. Of course the things we share here are meant to enrich your child’s learning but by no means add more stress to your daily lives.  So whether you use the tools or not, we hope that you will still follow along so we can stay connected.

Wishing you all a very safe and healthy day,

C&S Child Care Inc.

We hope that you can safely come outside and see us. We have attached a map indicating the route. Remember to stay safe as there will be moving vehicles, as well as other friends and families out – so keep a safe distance.
